Saudi residents can claim up to €600 / £520 under EU261 and UK261 for delayed flights from Europe or the UK.
The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Customer Protection Regulation provides care obligations on Saudi airlines, but does not match EU261's monetary compensation. Saudi travelers are nevertheless fully covered by EU Regulation 261/2004 and UK Regulation 261 on any flight leaving the EU/UK, or arriving on a European/British carrier.
How Saudi Travelers Qualify
Departing the EU or UK
Flights from London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Madrid, Rome and other EU/UK airports — any airline.
EU/UK Carrier into Europe
Flights into Europe operated by Lufthansa, BA, Air France, KLM and other European/British carriers.
Paid in EUR or GBP
Approximately SAR 1,000–2,500 equivalent. Transfer to Al Rajhi, SNB, Riyad Bank or any Saudi institution.
Saudi Nationality Irrelevant
EU261 and UK261 cover all passengers on a qualifying flight — Saudi citizens, residents and Hajj/Umrah travelers all qualify equally.
Long Filing Window
UK claims allow up to 6 years from the flight; EU limits vary by country (for example 3 in Germany, 5 in France and Spain).
European Filing Handled
We file in the airline's EU/UK jurisdiction so you don't need European legal representation.
