UAE residents can claim up to €600 / £520 under EU261 and UK261 for flights from Europe or the UK.
The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority requires airlines to assist passengers but does not mandate monetary delay compensation. UAE travelers are however fully covered by EU Regulation 261/2004 and UK Regulation 261 on any flight departing from an EU/UK airport, or arriving in the EU/UK on a European or British carrier.
When UAE Travelers Qualify
Departing the EU or UK
Flights from London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Rome, Madrid and other EU/UK airports — any operating airline.
EU/UK Carrier into Europe
Flights into the EU/UK operated by Lufthansa, BA, KLM, Air France or other European/UK airlines.
Paid in EUR or GBP
Approximately AED 1,000–2,500 equivalent. Wire transfer to any UAE bank (Emirates NBD, ADCB, Mashreq, etc.).
UAE Nationality Irrelevant
EU261 and UK261 protect every passenger on a covered flight — UAE nationals, residents and visitors all qualify equally.
Up to 6 Years Back
UK claims allow 6-year filing windows; EU limits vary by country (for example 3 in Germany, 5 in France and Spain).
European Filing Done For You
We file directly in the airline's EU/UK home jurisdiction — no need to retain European lawyers yourself.
